Tenuta Oppida Aminea Sannio

OPPIDA AMINEA – SANNIO BENEVENTANO

Oppida Aminea is the “yellow wines” Estate of Arcipelago Muratori. It is located in the Sannio Beneventano, the area of Campania Region in which stands the town of Benevento. At about 90 km from Naples, is situated in an equidistant position from Tyrrhenian and Adriatic seas.

The region is rather hilly with mountains and hills with different highs. One of these, la bella Dormiente (the sleeping beauty), named like this because similar to the profile of a sleeping woman, dominates the vineyards of Oppida Aminea: 86 acres of Greco, Fiano and Falanghina, the native varieties of Campania. A territory especially devoted to the agriculture, it has a long past that has been home to these unique grapes since ancient times.

The white wines of Oppida Aminea are called “yellow wines” because are wines with strong personality, well-defined mineral structure, longevity, a decisive nose, and a memorable finish, almost comparable to red wines. By respecting Greco, Fiano and Falanghina’s innate characteristics, these grapes have the potential to become “great” wines; “yellow” wines whose distinctive color is the imprint of both their native territory and the care with which they are made.
